The Hoshizaki KM-80C-HC Crescent EDGE Ice Maker is a compact, self-contained commercial ice machine designed to produce up to 75 kg of Crescent EDGE ice per 24 hours under standard conditions (air temperature 10°C, water temperature 10°C). This model is ideal for cafés, bars, restaurants, hotels, and professional foodservice environments that require premium ice quality with reliable performance and efficient operation.

Crescent EDGE ice is crystal clear, solid, and slow melting, making it ideal for beverage service, bottle chilling, and professional presentation. The unit incorporates Hoshizaki’s advanced CycleSaver® technology, featuring a double-sided stainless steel evaporator that produces ice on both sides simultaneously. This significantly reduces harvest cycles, improves energy efficiency, minimizes component wear, and extends the overall lifespan of the machine.

The stainless steel evaporator allows the safe use of mineral deposit removal chemicals without corrosion or flaking, ensuring easy maintenance and long-term durability. Hygiene is enhanced through automatic and manual water cleaning, refreshing the water circuit with fresh water every 20 cycles, and a sanitation mode that automatically cleans and refreshes the water circuit after 4 hours of inactivity.

The ice-making system includes an automatic rinse cycle, with adjustable fresh water usage every 10, 5, 2, or 1 cycle (factory default set at 10). A closed water circuit protects against contamination, while a DC pump with variable water flow and float switch-controlled water level ensure efficient operation with no water waste.

User-friendly design features include an electronic controller positioned on the front panel for easy access, a cleanable air filter, and a removable door gasket for simplified maintenance.
