IM-240XPE Cube Ice Maker – Modular Extension Unit | 210 KG/24H | Commercial Ice Machine

The Hoshizaki IM-240XPE Cube Ice Maker is a modular and stackable extension ice maker designed to expand ice production capacity in high-demand commercial environments. Producing up to 210 kg of cube ice per 24 hours under standard conditions (air temperature 10°C, water temperature 10°C), this model is ideal for hotels, restaurants, bars, cafés, and catering operations that require scalable ice production.

At higher ambient and water temperatures, the unit produces approximately 195 kg per 24 hours at 21°C air temperature and 15°C water temperature, and approximately 175 kg per 24 hours at 32°C air temperature and 21°C water temperature. The air-cooled cooling system ensures efficient and reliable performance throughout the day.

Built with Hoshizaki’s advanced Closed Cell Ice System, the IM-240XPE produces compact, hard, and geometrically perfect cube ice with excellent clarity and slow melting properties. Each ice-making cycle uses fresh water and includes an automatic rinse cycle, maintaining consistent ice quality and high hygiene standards. A closed water circuit further protects against contamination.

The unit operates within ambient temperatures of 1°C to 40°C, with water supply temperatures from 5°C to 35°C and water supply pressure between 0.07–0.8 MPa (0.7–8 bar). It runs on a 1/220–240V / 50Hz power supply with 5A breaker protection, consuming approximately 0.845 kW of electricity. Water consumption is approximately 0.67 m³ per 24 hours, and heat rejection at 32°C air temperature and 21°C water temperature is approximately 2.25 kW.

Designed for durability and ease of service, the IM-240XPE features a stainless steel internal frame, a magnetic DC water pump with variable speed and no direct coupling to prevent leakage, easy external access to the control panel, a cleanable air filter, and an easily removable water pan assembly. UV-C sanitization can be retrofitted for enhanced hygiene control.

This model is compatible with Hoshizaki storage bins and supports stacking of up to three units in total (1 × DPE + 2 × XPE), making it an ideal extension solution for growing foodservice operations.
