FM-150 AKE - HCN - SB Flake Ice Maker

The Hoshizaki FM-150AKE-HCN-SB is a modular flake ice maker designed for professional environments requiring efficient, hygienic, and environmentally responsible ice production. Using natural refrigerant R290, this model delivers excellent energy efficiency with up to 27.5% energy savings compared to equivalent HFC models, making it part of Hoshizaki’s Emerald Class range of climate-friendly ice makers.

The machine produces up to 150 kg of flake ice per 24 hours at an air temperature of 10°C and water temperature of 10°C. Under different operating conditions, it delivers approximately 125 kg at 21°C air / 15°C water and 105 kg at 32°C air / 21°C water. The highly efficient ice-making process ensures that water consumption is equal to ice production, minimizing waste and operating costs.

Hoshizaki flake ice is widely used for fish and fresh food display, produce cooling, bottled beverage presentation, and even medical applications such as organ transportation. Its soft, granular structure provides rapid cooling while preventing freezer burn, helping maintain product quality, hydration, and commercial value.

At the core of the FM-150AKE-HCN-SB is Hoshizaki’s unique FM auger system, engineered for maximum efficiency and durability. The auger is manufactured from double-hardened stainless steel and combined with carbon bearings, allowing optimal performance in wet and demanding environments while reducing wear, maintenance costs, and downtime. The stainless steel auger and evaporator significantly extend the lifespan of critical components.

The ice maker is microcomputer controlled, automatically adjusting the ice-making process to perform optimally under varying conditions without the need for manual intervention. A cleanable air filter allows easy routine maintenance, extending product life expectancy and reducing service call-outs.

The unit features a compact modular design and is compatible with Hoshizaki storage bins, making it suitable for restaurants, hotels, supermarkets, fish markets, catering operations, and healthcare facilities.
