Juice Extractors –What are the Benefits

There are many arguments for and against juicing your fruit and veg. Whilst adding no extra nutritional value to your diet, it does present an easy way to make sure you get your five-a-day. This can be especially handy if it comes to feeding children. Kids will often change their minds on food they enjoy, and the greener the veg, the less likely they are to tuck in.

Quick Fix

Juicing your fruit and veg provides an easy route to getting all the vitamins and minerals your body needs. Bottled up and great on the go, you can fit much more into a litre of juice than you can into a lunch box. Although we’d never recommend completely replacing plates of food, a juicer gives you options, especially if you run a busy schedule.

Healthy Balance

The best way to balance your diet, especially with fruit and veg is to use a wide variety of colour. Many colours contain particular nutrients and getting a good range is the key. You may have heard the phrase “eat a rainbow”. When juicing, it’s best to mix as many colours in as possible.

When using a wide range of ingredients, you may find different flavours do not go together. You may find that fruit you cannot abide, goes in perfectly with another and therefore combats the issue. Working out what’s best for your palette is the key. Juicing almost certainly helps pack in as many different nutrients into your diet as possible.

Bigger Boosts than Burgers

As part of a balanced diet, extracted juices can work great as an appetite suppressant. Mainly, because they fill you up. Swapping lunchtime junk foods for extracted juice can be a huge help to those looking to lose weight.

Because the juice contains plenty of sugars as well as nutrients, the boost you gain keeps you fresh, alert and focused throughout your day.

Science Says

There have been no scientific studies to date that prove any extra values to extracting juices. Juicing does increase sugars and reduces fibre, so always remember to do your research and stick to guidelines. Juice extract should never become a permanent replacement for regular meals.

As part of a balanced diet, the benefits of juicing come from its simplicity. If you have any health concerns, it is advisable to speak to a dietician or physician before committing to a juicing regimen.
